Whether anyone's reading or not, most of the stuff I post doesn't really lend itself to comment. I appreciate the thought though.

I used to live in Swindon (another town with a football club most definitely living on past glories, BTW!), and at one time Tony Benn was an MP in Bristol. Whenever he was interviewed by the piss-poor local reporters he ALWAYS made mincemeat of them. "Well, before I answer that question, let me just say..." "You know, the important question really is..." "What the people of this country really want to know is...", and so on! He always knew exactly what he wanted to say, how much time was available in which to say it, and literally NEVER answered the question that was put to him - I don't know why they bothered!!
