Well I suppose it wasn't that bad, but after so many glowing reviews (and given that it's billed as a comedy) I expected to laugh at least once. I don't think I even smirked. A dearth of mirth.

I have very often wondered, when reading film reviews, why the reviewers have not saved themselves and everyone else a lot of time and trouble by saying: "Rubbish!", or "Puerile nonsense!" What on earth is the point of going into great detail about films which are obviously not worth watching in the first place? Great minds think alike!!

I often listen to Mark Kermode (Five-Live) critique rubbish films, and it can make very entertaining radio. Why slag off a shite film in two words, when you can have a ten minute foamy-mouthed rant about it!
See, I could have told you that from the title, the cover and the premise, but people always say I never give things a chance...
Well, my boyfriend says it's good, so that means it's good. (I am loyal to a fault, aren't I?)
Well, I enjoyed it. Laughed out loud several times. But I think of all the genres, comedy is the most divisive. I have a friend who, like me, thinks The Office is great. But he also thinks Gimme Gimme Gimme is hilarious which I have watched once, stony-faced, never to be watched again.
On reviewing, some of my favourite reviews are the rants. And it's often way more fun to write about the shockers.
Funnily enough, we watched it at the weekend. I thought it was okay.
Then, the next morning, I realised i could remember absolutely nothing about it wahtsoever.
Oh, except a naked Chinese man jumping out of the boot of a Mercedez.
