Day 25

Just so we're clear, those extraneous bits are not punctuation. Or even punch-uation.

Can I just ask, am I the only one reading each post's title out loud to myself in a Geordie accent? Today's a particularly good one. One of the finest dates in the Geordie calendar. "Dee twant-ah fay-uv!"

Yes, I thought I would be.

Sorry, what really prompted me to say that was I was just wondering if there was a reason you choose to number the days rather than put the word in the post title? Not wanting to spoil the surprise, perhaps?

Well I think you've just ensured the rest of us do it from now on.

I did consider putting the word in the post title and can't honestly remember why I eventually chose not to. I don't think it would be much of a spoiler unless I decide to do some cryptic posts. I'm not going to change things now. Besides, counting days is more dramatic and doubles as a handy reminded of how far through the year we are.

What really bugs me is that the gap between the title and the top of the picture ranges from fag paper to canyonesque for no apparent reason. As a lover of form I would like every post to be consistent but adding spacing in the post itself has unpredictable results. I have given up.

Any surprise element is lost when clicking the image; its file name generally seems to be the-word.jpg.

Anyway, more importantly, where's barriejohn?

Oh the gap btw, looking at the page source some entries have additional paragraph tags before the image. It's probably down to the ordering of adding images and text to your posts, maybe try always doing it in the same order will give consistent results.

Failing that a trip to http://groups.google.com/group/blogger-help might help.

Simon - after a bit of digging it seems that an empty div tag gives the best spacing results. I have no idea why, but I've gone back and changed all the posts to match. Thanks.

I've been wondering where barriejohn is too.
